Lisa Edelstein is an American actress, best known for her role in House, a Fox medical series, House. Her family was from Wayne, in a conservative Jewish tradition. When she was 18, she emigrated to New York City to study at the Tisch School of the Arts. Soon, she was a part of the club scene in New York and started getting headlines. Also, the press took notice of her. Then, she combined her talents and fame her writing and composing skills in the production of a play titled Positive Me. Soon after, she was offered a job at MTV as host of Awake on the Wild Side. When Awake on the Wild Side was no longer airing, she started acting in films and television, first with small roles. In time, her experience in acting was growing.
